It is not an m20. I know what it is but don't want to spill the beans until I have some glory shots haha

But a starter circuit is the same for basically all cars so I posted this to see if any of you have ever heard that sound with any car.

if your starter is worn or not the right one for your definitely-not-an-m20-guys-hehe-lol, it won't mesh with the flywheel sometimes. put the car and gear and rock it back and forth a bit to move the flywheel to a potentially happier place.

Bump for the solution. It was a siezed A/C compressor. Shop took the belt off and it starts. No a/c but might get a new compressor

Do you have A/C now? If you have to get a new compressor, now is the best time to convert to r134a and increase the value of your car!

All you have to do is buy the new compressor, replace your expansion valve, and your condensor. The exp valve and condensor should run you like 125 together. Then just have the R12 evacuated, run a vacuum to ensure your seals are good, then charge with 134a and you're good! Do a ton of research of course for the right flush and oil levels etc. But you're really in a good spot right now!

Of course the other option is just deleting the A/C...

Yea it has r134a! Going to see if A/c is needed once the heat hits us.

                Thanks!:)

Kinda relevant to this- I brought the car to get inspected. A friend and I went to DQ across the street, came back to the shop. Hey man your car is dead.. Wtf?

Get in, it starts. Turn it off after a couple minutes. It won't start. Jump pack nothing, different brand new battery nothing. It was actually the starter this time. So got that over with lol.
