Hey all,
I am turning to you all for some advise on where to best spend my time next. My issue on my e30 is when I turn my wheel to the left side while moving or rolling it has a deap clunk sound.
The sound is every half second or so as if it's with some rotation and not suspension. It does not make the noise when turning right only left. I feel the knocking down by the pedals too.
Car is S50 swapped with a z3 rack, I.E. Steering guibo, new control arms, UUC full sway bar kit with new end links and Treehouse LCAB. During inspection, appeared to have good wheel bearings and upper strut housing. However this is not confirmed. I'll look into more closely tonight.
I'm thinking the only think I haven't addressed yet is the inner and outer tie rod ends. Would this be the issue? Why would this only make noise while turning one direction vs the other? Could it be the rack?
Thanks for your help, and I'll be updating when I solve the issue incase others have similar problems.
