AC Question

This is the hard part as I'm finding. Have any lines on where I can get one :)

Yes, I did the retrofit from the diy thread.

I did have to use the manifold from the old compressor, which is the two metal inlets from the hard lines that cover the 4 holes on top from the autozone picture.

Part numbers 1 and 2 in this diagram for my compressor.

One more question. Did you have to change the pulley over from serpentine to v-belt Tim? Looks like the autozone one might be a serpentine.

I actually ordered the wrong one first, and had to switch out to a more expensive one they list for my car, which is part number 57352. This one is v belt and has the correct mounting on one side of the compressor.

If you have an old compressor to look at, just look very carefully at the model number it replaces, not just the brand. If not, look carefully at the mounting points to make sure it will work. My engine is an m20, but only one of the many compressors they list for it actually mount up.

The good thing is that it wasn't a pain to return the wrong one to the store, I just had to wait a couple more days to get the correct one.

Shoot. I ordered the wrong one. Just opened the box and it is indeed a serpentine. Hopefully they will honor the 20% off coupon I had since they say this cheaper one fits when it clearly does not. Looks like I probably need the same one you ended up ordering.

They probably don't come with oil, but it's easy to check just tip it over and see if some oil comes out lol
