    Fouled my plugs beyond black.

Well i was driving my car and i noticed that it started sputtering ridiculously bad. So fast forward a bit i pull my plugs and out the're black and smell like pure gas. I fixed a nasty vac leak and now my car is running ridiculously rich. I would like to know 3 things.

    1. Which way do i turn the wheel on my afm to make the mixture leaner?

    2. Will the fuel pressure regulator make the car run rich if it is faulty?

    3. I Will be borrowing a wideband tomorrow. And i would like to know what afr do most NA m20's run @ so that i can retune the afm. Thanks again.

    I'd guess 14.7 on the afr's

14.7 at light load (it has an O2 sensor afterall) and probably around 13 at WOT

99% sure its the FPR, ive saw quite a few due this and it be a failed fpr. Get a fuel preasure tester, check the bently specs, and don't mess with the afm.

            what mods do you have?

Why not try unplugging the batter to reset the ecu?

              Mark d 93 octane chip

              S50 injectors

              M30 afm

Nothing crazy just had the afm tuned with a vac leak then once I fixed it car started running rediculosy rich. :(

before you fuck with the afm, try resetting your ecu. it might have been compensating for the vacuum leak.

Ok got the handheled lc1. I was thinking just to install it in the o2 sensor bung a get a reading. But the handled won't send a o2 signal to my ecu. Will that affect the reading/ performance?

Yes it would send the ECU into limp mode and run full rich. Its a safty function so you will not lose the engine.

BTW you get your belt fixed?
