    E30 Noise

Been having issues with my E30. Whenever I start the car I hear this siphoning like sound coming from the passenger side of the tank. You can sort hear it on the drivers side. About 2 minutes into idling, the sound stops and the engine cuts off. Not sure if it could be the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. I know both my level senders are bad.

Probably your fuel pump dying. In an E30 the fuel pump is accessed by removing the back seat and pulling it out of the tank on the passenger side of the rear bench. Pretty easy to replace

You're fuel level senders are probably ok. It's just a float and a switch really. I would start by taking the pump out to take a look at it and shine a flash light in the tank to look for rust and crud on the bottom of the tank. Rust = Bad.

It is most likely your fuel pump. Order a new one stick it in there and fire the car up. If there is rust in the tank your best bet will be to get a new tank as it will only be a matter of time before the new pump gets burnt up if the filter gets clogged.
