Today I bled the brakes on my 318is in the usual way. Not sure if I should have taken any special steps due to the ABS system, but I just bled it as I would any car.
The weird thing is that the pedal effort was pretty high even with the bleeders cracked open. Also ran into a weird issue on the left rear where after coming back from the auto parts store to get more brake fluid, pumping the pedal didn't move fluid out of the reservoir even with the bleeder open, the pedal just felt normal and I could hear air escaping out of some valve or something in front of the reservoir. Any insight on this? I'm still not entirely happy with the pedal feel, and I'm not really sure whether this is what ABS just feels like or what, but it's not as nice as my 240SX without ABS.
