    Daily Driver Checklist?

After searching for a long while I finally found what looked to be a good base to start my E30 project. I've been reading up on these forums for a long time and searching for one for the better part of a year, but now that I've found one I'm looking to drive it every chance I get.

So that brings me to my question - What do you all feel are the necessary steps to getting an E30 ready to be driven as a dd to have the greatest level of certainty it won't leave you on the side of the road? So far I have replaced the breaks (pads and rotors), new tires, timing belt replaced, and ordered new control arms + control arm bushing... Do you feel there's any other common issues I should address before putting some significant miles on my new E30?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!

Since I've daily driven mine for 4 years...

All oils of course. I won't suggest any because I don't feel like dodging the pitchforks, but research it and pick your favorites.
Vacuum leaks (get a smoke test, fix all of them)
      Air filter
Ignition (wires, plugs [NGK ZGR5A], cap, rotor)
Valve cover gasket, rocker shaft end plugs, valve adjustment eccentrics (also adjust the valves, obviously)
I'd replace all the bulbs to stay ahead of the curve
SI board batteries I guess, though I haven't done mine. You should remove the cluster, replace the odometer gears with Garagistic ones, and tighten the ground screws on the fuel and temp gauges, though.
      Fix any water leaks ASAP
You may not need it, but I'd strongly recommend getting the A/C 100%. Having mine done helps me enjoy the car a lot more on a regular basis.

      That's a start.

Pretty much what Elva said... you've done the really important stuff.

Did you check the rear suspension stuff? Mounts and shocks, subframe/RTAB/Link bushings?

Main, unloader(s) and fuel pump relays. I don't bother to replace 'em any more,
just figure out where they are, label 'em and make sure there's a spare in the glove box.
Fuel pumps, but they usually give you some warning. Unlike a f*#king E46...

...and common sense- if it looks odd, poke at it!
