    205/60-15 issues

I know they are oversized, but are there any concerns besides inaccurate speedo or changed final drive ratio? I know some people choose to run 205/50 or 215/50 and the correct size is 205/55, but are there any real problems will running this tire size? I just wanna be sure.

Thanks in advace. (No flaming neccessary)

Nevermind - guess my post was useless.

You already know about the oversized part, so, please, carry on...

Dont post random dribble that has no relevance please... you got 10x worse once you took delivery of Kris' car.

205/60 is fine, no issues with final drive or anything like that. speedo inacuracy is negligeable anyways... add to that the fact BMW speedo's read high and its pointless.
      Below the radar...

        Cool. 8)

I'm movin to 15" and will need tires to just get around for a while. And I obtained some in 205/60 that will "do" until I can get 225/50...... I believe 205/60 Yoko Avid H4 will "do" ;)

        Chris, thanks.

i also have 205 60 15's and the only thing i don't like is the sidewall roll in hard corners. Thinking abou doing a 205/ 50. anyone else do this?

            Um. They rub.

The tires do rub in the front, even at small angles of the steering. But they rub the tread, so no biggie. Right up against the fender liner in front of the wheel.

I blame the E30 M3 control arms. It moved the wheel forward and increase castor. Doesn't make rubbing noises when at speed though.

It's cool. I think I can live with them at least. I have to think about the next step. ES100's..... I dunno.

don't the M3 bushings give it more castor?

you have GC right? why not just raise it up until you wear those out and can buy another set.

E30 M3 Al Control Arms (And bushings)

I'm not sure if brining it up would help. Maybe a little, but the fender liner is pretty vertical in the section it is rubbing.

The aluminum arms have the same geometry as the steel ones. It's the bushings that push the wheel slightly forward.

And don't blame the arms/bushings, blame your bigass tires.

Ah, I see. Yeah the offset bushings.

Bigass tires Those were probably a mistake. Maybe I can hand them off to a friend with a 240SX and use that to help get some correct tires.......

if you bring up the car a little bit, it will affect your castor and bring the wheel back a little bit. adjusting GC is easy, it's probably worth a shot (looks aren't everything, right? :P)

I suppose you'd want to wait until you get your taller rear springs though.
