Metric mechanic's site claims they can build you a 240hp crank 3.2l m20 for about 9k, and that should be a pretty solid setup.

Back on topic, a friend is building a 3.2 M20 aiming for well over 250 down here, and there are a few racecars with 2.7's / 250 crank.
