What went here? Windshield washer tank?

I've got this wild lone wolf connector that is driving me nuts, that's right behind the passenger side headlight (Left hand drive car). I'm not sure what the hell it was hooked up to. My guess is the windshield washer fluid pump or something, because I don't have the washer tank or anything, and I think it would have gone here. Looking up the part number on bmwfans.info yeilds "plug terminal black". Suuuuuper insightful.

    Bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/61131378416/

I REALLY need to wash my bay, but this loose connection makes me hesitant to hose it down.

Bonus pic of my fat bastard, Elmo, for motivation. Will PM cat pics as payment.

Windshield washer pump connector. Your washer fluid tank normally chills there.

    Cute cat, btw.

Cat's all like "don't take my picture human, it's a mess in here! Now I'm off to lick my butt."

UF has this one answered, of course OP, you answered your own question.

I know it's messy, I'm still unpacking from moving [emoji21] it's difficult when you move into a place with far less storage!

I figured that it was the windshield washer spot, but since I've only been in the E30 world for a whopping 2 months, and I've only known my engine bay, I should verify.

Looks like there's something else to add to Ruby's to-do list!

Roof skin or sunroof? If the latter, I just did mine and it was fairly trivial.

Oh, well, that's not too bad either. With two people it takes about an hour.

What? An hour to completely replace the rag top?! Where'd you hear that? Everything I've found says it takes about a whole day to complete

Well, that was swapping the entire frame with soft top already on, so it'll probably take longer. Either way, just handle it systematically and you'll be fine.

It took me about four hours to remove the soft top and stripped everything down. Another four hours the next day to install the new top by myself. Just follow this procedure.
