Whats the difference between regular sockets and impact sockets? Can't I use my regular sockets with an air ratchet? And vice versa

Whatever you do, get tools w/a lifetime warranty or guarantee. You'll be surprised the number of things you can break while using tools for "special" purposes, i.e. cheater bars or beating on something w/them. Be sure to pick up about 20 lifetime warranty screwdrivers, too. They make great chisels... and wedges... and scrapers... and plenty of other things.

I'd recommend Mac, Craftsman, Snap-on, or Channellock.

on my impact if i am using the faster/more powerful setting i only use the impact specific sockets. You'll be able to tell the different if you hold one of each, the impact sockets are beefy.

.... That's for later.... or for when you get pissed at some fucking bolt that wont budge ( PS hose bolts.... especially the little fucker at the steering rack..... right by the oil pan ) you need some time out.

                Worked just fine for me......

Now if you can get drunk off a can with barely 5% alcohol in it...... then you should scratch that item from the list.
