also dont quote real OEM for prices. also carful shopping at rock auto, they sometimes offer the cheapest shit available to them, i had a friend order a starter for his e36 and it came with all these chinese symbols in the case for 90-100$.

A Bosch alternator for $120? Dang, I see those for ~$300 on most sites. I'm gonna try and get the alternator off my first M42 (if Dave hasn't sold it already) to save some money. I don't think there was anything wrong with that alternator. Thanks for the tip!
