Stored for 5 years - what to consider?

    Hi Everyone,

About to get my baby out of 5-year storage to begin some mechanical restoration.

I need to drain the bad fuel out as it barely idles - should I be worried about a rusted fuel tank? or maybe just 'see how i go'.

How would I check if its rusted?

What else should I consider if its been sitting for 5 years?

    Thanks!

First two steps: Change all fluids and filters, change timing belt.

Any concerns for the fuel tank after 5 years of it sitting with 1/4 tank?

just pop the fuel pump or sender off the tank and take a look in there. I would be surprised if the tank is pretty shot.
