Alright, so has anybody ever seen any evidence that a brand new seal would be thicker than an original one? And should I go for the two piece or one piece seal?

I was going by your 1st post to the fact that a 1 piece ** might ** be thicker than the 2 piece gasket. If we can talk to Mariano, since I believe he now owns Ryan's old panel, we might be able to get him to give 1st hand knowledge since he would have in hand both his OEM panel with a 2 piece gasket and Ryan's CF panel with the 1 piece gasket. Just an idea.

I just ordered a 1 piece seal from BMA for $93. I'm also going to reinstall the sunroof liner and rear drip panel this week. I reckon these 2 things will stop water from falling on my head.

By the way, the wind noise of the loosely fitting seal on my car right now is wicked above 50mph!
