I took my car to a mechanic today and took him for cruise up and down the street and did a little bit of weaves and sharp turns so he could hear the noises and well he defintally doesnt think its the bearings and is pretty sure its the differential thats causing the noise.
So i guess i will be installing the 3.73. Guess i can say goodbye to first gear then huh. :?

An eta with a 3.73 will turn the same speed at a specific rpm as an i with a 3.73. You just have less revs. The reason 1st gear will be relatively extinct is because you can't take it up to 6900 or whatever the i rev limit is. ie...an i with a 3.73 going 70mph @ 3000 rpms means an eta with a 3.73 going 70mph, will be turning 3000rpm also. Basically the same engine (m20), same tranny gearing, and same diff.Don't forget the good things Hitler did.
