My old crank sunroof did not click to inform me when my sunroof is closed. today i put in an electric sunroof, thinking this little problem would go away. It did not. The sunroof goes from open to popped without stopping, its a pain in the ass because i dont know when it is closed all the way.

for whoever wants to know, i figured it out. The gear that stops the sunroof when it is open, popped and closed, was out of wack so it was stopping in weird places, I should have figured that out sooner and it was a pain to get it timed right. I never touched the rails so i dont see why these would need to be changed, i only say this because i read a few threads and people said they changed them.

what i did is i popped the the sunroof and hooked up the motor to a battery i had sitting around, and ran the motor till it would click, and stop. I just played a guessing game and tried different clicks and then i would mount the motor and see if i got it. It took me a few tries but i figured it out with some thinking and logic. I really cant figure out why i didnt have to change the tracks and some people do.
