    A/C Fuse #20 keeps blowing

Whenever I have the Fan on as well as the A/C, it will run for a few minutes or more, and then suddenly fuse 20 will break. It's happened twice in the last two days that I've been using the A/C. It does not occur while moving the shifter into reverse.

Any info would be very helpful.

I'm thinking it's a loose or bare wire that's causing the fuse to pop. Any ideas as to where to look for a loose wire?

Could be a wire, could be the compressor seizing up, etc.

There is a switch on your compressor that can fail, check it with an ohm meter to see if there is continuity.

I'm thinking it's a wire somewhere. The first time the A/C ran for 15+ minutes before blowing the fuse, and the second time it happened after only about 3 minutes. Both times I was driving on the road.

I'm going to test it again today, with the car idling in the parking lot.

I'll check the compressor switch this weekend.

Mine did that. It was the compressor drawing too much current (i.e. friction, seizing).

Does the compressor have adequate R12 or R134? To go with what Mystikal said.
