    225/45/16 tire fitment?

I need new tires. I am considering 205/50-16 Conti. Sport Contact 2 or Bridgestone 225/45-16.

I have 16x7.5 wheels with a 25mm offset. Would the 225/45-16 tires fit with an H&R sportsuspension? I have mixed reviews if they will fit even with hard cornering. Your opinions are always welcomed.

go 225's, they look sexy on e30's. if you've got minor rubbing issues it's worth it.

With that suspension and rim setup, you should be ok with 225/45-16.

        205 is way too skinny

If 225 fits, do it!

Bill has 225/50 15s. Not quite the same.. but regardless, the 225s look AWESOME on his 318. His car also way out-handles both of mine!

I've been running 225/45 16's ET28 on the rear for months no rubbing issues at all.

check link in sig for pics.

Not every brand of a 225/45-16 tire may fit. I know that Yokohama should be ok.....ditto with Dunlops. However Bridgestone tires (like the SO3s...if avail in that size), is likely to rub due to the wider mid-section of the tire.

I think you should go for it. It will certainly fill out the wheel wells nicely ;)

Ive got 225 Yoks up front and 245 in the rear. They fit fine and have only rubbed on the plastic when I hit a bump that sends me flyin.

Mine are a similar offset at 28 so you should be just right there at the lip.
                    Im now E30less.

What about with et-20 rims in 16*7.5" I was looing right now I've got 205 but I doubt I could squeze 225 in the rear, maybe in the front.

                              Any side and rear pictures?
You have the higher rear arches so you can fit more tire in there.
Did you roll the rear fenders or cut the fronts at all?
