damn that came out nice. Anybody wanna trade me a strut brace for some parts? an m42 maybe?
My only gripes are the air intake and location of the diagnostic connector
well, and that big expansion tank ;)

Your diagnostic connector? and expansion tank? He has the smaller late model unit, I have no expansion tank due to built into radiator so you used the old one on the right side? the tube style?
Greg, I have the same radiator as you do with the built in tank, and if you look at my car closely, you'll see that the diagnostic connector is in the stock e30 location (next to the fuse box in the factory holder)
Hey Bryson could I do the harness plug apparatus like in the writeup with the new wiring setup you sent me? I havent had a chance to look at the info yet. I also think mine might be a bit more simple since my car is ancient.
The plug Idea would be nice for working on the car in the future, beign able to pull it all at once without damaging the harnesses.
On the AGK writeup they say instead of cutting into either the car or engine wiring harnesses they went to a junkyard and got the plugs off old cars and then made like an adapter so all they have to do is plug hte engine side into this adapter and the other side into the body wiring harness and everything would go through the two plugs.
oh, yea, that will work, it's the easiest way, but you have to find a place to mount the other connector (C101 on e30, X20 on e36/e34) :? I didn't want to bother with finding a spot
Ryan, that is the method I used. It created a bit more "bulk" near the fuse box from the extra wires and connector. Going in to the project, I was hesitant to cut up the engine harness. The adapter seemed like a good way to avoid doing that, and it was (admittedly, I would cut the harness next time). Using the E30 M3 firewall covers, you can mount one connector in the harness support and the other will attach to the side of the fuse box. I don't have a problem with how it looks, but Bryson sure does. :P
I'll see if I have a picture handy of that area and post it.
Jason - my diagnostic connector fills that hole :D
Uh, that's because you have an E34 harness you putz. :P BTW, how well does your computer fit in the glove box?

Sorry about that. I really wanted to come down to check out the lights, but I got a new project from work. They thought they were doing me a favor by scheduling the next few on the weekends, because I am just SOOOO busy during the week. It's ironic that the thing that enables me to spend excessive $$$ on my car is actually the thing that keeps me from working on it. Such is life. Bill said they are looking really good. Are you feeling better?
I can't tell if it is sarcasm or if you are jealous of bigger valve stems.
OK, you're right. I am just envious of your huge valve stems you big stud. ;) Plus, it is a known fact that non-vanos motors are better than vanos motors (just ask you-know-who).
Measured the driveshaft yesterday after you left. It is definitely not centered perfectly. Before I screw with it though, I am definitely going to switch to softer tranny mounts.
I found the receipt for those mounts. PN 23 71 1 175 424 and they are 10.70 from Inter Auto. Not a bad way to go. Firm, but not as harsh as the urethane.
