Awesome! I'm definitely not against priming, I'm only curious as to the best method for priming: popping the cap off of the top of the oil pump and doing it via a drill, or is disconnecting the fuel pump relay and cranking it a few times sufficient. If just doing it by cranking it over a few times is perfectly fine, then that's absolutely the method I'm going with. :)

    Thanks for the responses!

Since the car ran before, I wouldn't hesitate just cranking it without fuel - no different than any car sitting for an extend period. As Nando mentioned earlier int he thread, priming is usually upon first assembly.

I would just pull the FP relay and crank it a few times. Head swaps are commonly done without priming the engine again.

I have an M30B35 that I rebuilt the top end on. Its going to be sitting for a few months to maybe a year. I assume I should put oil in it and prime it a few times throughout to keep it rust free?
85% of the time i have no idea what I'm doing
