    325e same headers as 325i?

hey i was just wondering, does the 325e use the same headers as a 325i, or are the mounts going to be different. i found a nice set of bavarian headers online, but they are for a 325e...

I thought they were shaped differently to account for the lack of an oil distribution block on the eta. I would assume that if this is the only difference, they'd work since the head castings should be the same except oil passages.

same, not sure what hes talking about on the oil. The ports might be slightly larger on the 325i.
      Im now E30less.

Ports are larger on the 325i manifolds then the 325e manifolds.

also the "i" headers empty into 2 exhaust pipes while the "e" empties into 1.

He isnt talking about stock manifolds dumbasses. He is talking about the headers that Bavarian Auto sells.

I would imagine the headers for the 325e and 325i are the same. Why dont you call bavauto and find out?

The "i" headers are different than the "e" headers just like I mentioned. The exhausts are different.

Yes, that would be wisest, You would be downgrading if you used the "e" headers on the "i."

that doesnt matter, the bav auto headers go 3-1, 3-1, then they go into 1 at the end, which can be cut off to use on an i model...im more concerned with the headers actually mounting up to the head and not having any clearance issures...

Well in that case, they bolt to the head with no problems. Check with bavauto if you want to be "sure."

Jeeze don't get butt hurt. I'll get off your sorry thread. I know exactly what you're talking.

Oh wait no i don't. I only have the bavauto ones. Sorry genius.

Think about it. If it was the same exact part then wouldn't it have the same part number.

                          32 020 C "e" headers
32 019 C "i" headers Like I said before. They are the same on the head side, different on the exhaust side.

if the only difference is that lil piece on the end, then why would it be a downgrade? BTW, i see that you edited your earlier post to make it look like you were clear on this in the first place...nice try, but i read the origional and it made no sense, which is why i was getting irritated with your replies in the first place.

Edited as in added not chaged. It would be a downgrade if you didn't cut the headers and use the "i" exhaust. The downgrade would be bolting them to an "e" exhaust.
