S14 parts are insanely expensive though.. unless you really want to keep a 4 cyl for weight purposes, you'd be better off doing something else (turbo, M50 swap, etc).
m50s are striahgt 6s :?Comment

I don't understand where the cost would be, other than the machining to line the ports up. I have access to that for cheap. I wanted to know if there were any special parts that would need to be fabricated to do such a thing. Cost isn't the issue, I like doing things like this. I like to be a little different from the crowd. I live in KY and I wear shoes. get my point? :DComment

If cost isnt an issue and if the head isnt to wide, then just match water jackets and your on your way. Also you will have to change the chain length. Oh and if the s14 is a double chain than use a 320i M10 crank as they were double chains, but they are a little heavier.Comment

Not sure about the chain, with the crank and twin cam. But a chain can easily be broken and rejoined at a proper machine shop or engineering place also a motor bike shop may be able to help. I would not do it yourself if you havent done simillar before as a snap chain leads to fcuked pistons and bent valves. $$$$.
Your best bet is too find someone with an s14 or at least the head and drill them or get a workshop manual and read the specs.
I thought the s14 pistons dont fit in an M10 as they have to thin a bore?Comment

No carby. dont ever use a carby on a injected motor! esp half a m3 engine.
Why take a step back????Comment

I'm using a Lynx single side draft manifold with a Mikuni 44 PHH sidedraft carb. It is an M10/b18. If the s14 head on m10 block project doesnt go through then I will build up another m10 I have and it will run dual mikuni 44's or weber 45's. Why build up an m10 you ask? Because everyone says don't :twisted:Comment
