    E30 Running lean

Ran My 325e on the dyno stock with a ristricted cat and got 98 HP 137 trq.
Then i put my chip from BAV AUTO ran it agian and got 115 HP and 154 Trq.
Now i Put ceramic coated headers and tryflow exhuast, both for a 325i and i ran it on the dyno today and got 115
I should atleast be hitting 150HP.
WTF.... she is running lean. Do any of you have an idea what to check for. I am replacing my fuel pressure regulator. probably getting it off a 911 or maybe from Bavarian auto.
    PLEASE HELP

Do you have an I head or am I missing something seein you rev till 7k with your E. A exhaust and headers will not get you 35hp what you were hoping to get. If the car is running lean then you might want to get bigger injectors and tune the car. Do you have a sheet of your a/f ratio or what makes you think the car is running lean ?

One more thing I forgote to mention, you might just have a bad fuel pump or injectors. Check your fuel psi at idle and if that is low then replace the pump before you do anything else.

check the adjustment on your TPS

you aren't going to hit anywhere near 150whp with an e - maybe at the crank.

No I dont have an I head thats my next thing. I am running 28psi at idel and thinking of getting a new fuel pressure regulator and BAV auto are telling me its 40 to 46 psi at idel. do you think thats a good investment. Do you have injecters that you are thinking of? Yes i have the sheet. so let me know what you got for me.

you expected a 35hp increase from headers and a muffler?

That is your main problem. I had the same problem with my car. If you are running that much lower at idle, you will also run much leaner at higher rpm's. It could be either your fuel pressure regulator or your fuel pump. My guess is thats its your fuel pump. Gluck.

+1. 28psi is too low for an eta. You should have 37psi at idle.

definitely low on pressure... I was just reading the Bentley on this stuff... fuel pressure should be up around where Bav Auto was telling you.

Your chip also might be effecting your A/F, were you running lean before?

Get it fixed before you hurt your motor. I would suggest not to drive the car having it that lean.

btw our cars didn't come with these stock headers you speak of.

and it is idle not idel
