My new Brembo brake rotors arrived last week and damn they are sexy when the are brand new. I was just wondering if new rotors will rust on the hats just like my old ones did. They look so good I don't want them to rust. Should I paint the hats with brake caliper paint?
Neccessary to paint brake rotor hats?

i put powerslot cadmium-plated rotors on my (nissan) s14 about a year ago.
after i did my first mountain run in the car they were smoking... (and i still got left by the 2 guys with s13s on skinnier azenis... damn those sticky mf'ers >:|)
i was wondering why till i got home and used google to discover that the heat range on my porterfield pads went higher than the melting point of cadmium :P
not that it matters whether the friction surface stays cadmium plated... freaked me out tho.past:
