Are you certain it's genuine? I'd probably do a google search of like old 2002s and CSLs and see if you can get a match from an interior shot.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

I don't care how rare it is, if the logo is available (and German eBay is GOD) people will be popping logo's into their e30 knobs. So the knob you have will worth nothing.
And for $120, any one on this forum would just search for an UUC SSK and get that.
Good luck.Comment

Here is all I have so far.

Verified buy a BMW parts guys of 30 years. PN# is under the disc. Can only see part of it. Don't want to remove the disc. How have you verified it if you can't find any photo documentation of it in a vehicle? Do you have the part number?
How do you figure?FAKE, neat but fake.
I understand your point. But i find that it is usually E36 guys buying fake shit and calling it real. Most E30 guy's are connoisseurs and have a tendency to buy real things.I don't care how rare it is, if the logo is available (and German eBay is GOD) people will be popping logo's into their e30 knobs. I say it's fake because the know resembles MID-70's knobs, If you found that knob, you'd have to take it out of 2002tiit or the original TURBO. M-division didn't exactly earn their stripes (get it, stripes) until M1 came out, and that was late seventies. If you ever seen e21, e12, and early e24 knobs, they became taller.
Now as far as e30 drivers getting real parts...... WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING?
Why do you think people flame IE, why do you think people buy sportmaxes. This community doesn't have millionaires club, at list not on online forums. We all try to get the best for least. If anything these communities are hustlers and thugs (in a very good way).Comment

Well, i could take it out of any car honestly. How it got there, I have no idea. I looked in a lot of BMW's today, so if memory serves me correctly, i took this from an E28 or E34. The way it was attached seems as if it was there since day one. Pain in the ass to pull off. But that really could be for any reason.I say it's fake because the know resembles MID-70's knobs, If you found that knob, you'd have to take it out of 2002tiit or the original TURBO. And I am not saying all E30 owners buy real things, but from what I have seen, they do more so than E36 and E46 owners. BTW if it was fake, i wouldn't see part of a BMW part number.
Also, I didn't ask for people to come in and break balls. Simply answer the question. Which was not "is this fake". So if you don't like the knob, stay the fuck out of my thread.
Current update - I looked down in the hole and I see "ade in eng". Which I am assuming would say if read in full "Made in England". I don't know why it would say that. Oh wait, yes I do. IT'S FAKE!Originally posted by jrhaileFor the record I have never fucked a goat.Comment

Not busting your balls, just saying that it's an unlikely combination. The knob itself looks BMW, and the badge COULD be BMW as well, but they just didn't come together in that era. If it came out of e28 or e34 then it's really not going to be the original knob for that car.
By the way, OE knobs could easily have been made in England, as a whole of parts on e30's are made all over Europe (Austria, Spain, Italy, England, and maybe few others)Comment
