I just bought 2 Nickel-Cadmium AA batteries from Radio Shack (PN: 23-191) to replace my SI batteries and I need to get a full charge in them before i solder then onto the board. I was thinking of using my optical mouse recharger but that takes Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. I need some other options on charging these batteries other than going out and spending $40 for a charger. Anything helps...

I replaced mine and did not read that they had to be charged first. Well the SI board has yet to start working and my Speedo seems to be affected by this. After a few minutes of driving the speedo usually starts workingComment
