    Sheet Metal v Aluminium console

    is it worth upgrading from the sheet metal console to the aluminium console? what are the advantages?

    Advantages? Well...it would be lighter, and if you're fabbing up a piece on your own you can alter its shape to come up with something that suits your style/taste. I can't think of any other reasons.

        uhh.. I don't think you can see the shifter console from inside (or outside) the car...

        I thought only early cars came with the sheet metal console?

            Yes...It is 84-86 for sheet metal shifter "mount/console"...And yes, you cannot see it from inside or outside the car unless you've taken a whole lot of sh!t off the car...

                sweet i was just wondering if the shifting was any different....mines gota sheet metal one as the PO did 5spd conversion and used a pre facelift console...dumbarse
