Dear Christ thats a pretty Evo. I can't remember where I saw a 911 GT3 RS with a carbon body that only weighed like 80 pounds or something. That was freaking hot.

I had thought by now that he wasn't doing them. I will get one of his for sure, depending on how they look. I'm not interested in a functional one, so it doesn't matter to me if they are or not.
Well, nope they are still being made, just been a long time. And they will be tits.

yea, mine are still being made, but i ahve been lagging. Ive been beyond swamped. but the final R&D is done, they are now laying CF panels.

big props to dirtye30. thats a great peice for being made at home. and yes, it is expensive, i dont think people understand how much work it takes to make it.

at about $65 a yard and resin isnt cheap either... materials add up...

nice work, i would be interested in CF, but i would want to do it all at once so i can paint it too

CF isn't 65$ a yard. and cutting it isn't all that bad......

Cutting it is only hard if it is in sheet form. CF fabric is easy to cut compared to sheet.

im interested in a finished product. i took off my sunroof panel the other day, and it weights more than 10lbs....i also think that epoxy would hold the brackets on for mounting b/c the panel weight so little that there wont be as much stress on them. keep us updated on some pics of the finish product.

The whole sunroof assembly weighs about 65lbs if you really want to drop some weight up there
