So that sounds like we are looking around $300. CF hoods are only $400... think of that in terms of size against a sunroof.
Sell 'em for $200-225 or so... you'll make your money back in volume of buys. I'm sure TONS of people would want one.

Just wait for Shahe's panel guys. They are professionally built -- seem one first hand and they will be functional. They are built very strong.

Does anyone know how shahe's panel is constructed.... whats it look like?
I'm not really in this to sell them too much..... i'm more interested in the process and the fun of making them.

I feel really out-classed and stuff by shahe haha. whatever i'm cooler.

What is the possibility of doing an entire roof? I doubt it would be practical for a daily driver having a carbon roof but what about a track rat?

I had thought by now that he wasn't doing them. I will get one of his for sure, depending on how they look. I'm not interested in a functional one, so it doesn't matter to me if they are or not.

The words "first born" mean anything to you? Carbon can be expensive, and definately more expensive to make it right. If asking for all removable panels (hood, trunk, fenders, sunroof, possibly doors) you are talking a shitton of fab work, hours of labor, and tons of prototypes to get it right and worthy of sale.

Me and my brother have been messing with carbon and carbon/kevlar composites for a while. He started out just making little things for my old car but one day we plan on tackling almost a pure carbon car project. As for my project E30 I was going to attempt to make a IS lip from carbon and some day hood, fenders, and trunk lid.

full set of panels??? i'm only one man. i've made a sunroof. wait a year mabye 2 then i'll probably have a hood a trunk and a sunroof. and i'll probably have become SOOOO sick of the crap that i wont make CF stuff for anyone.

Tell me where you can get a full set of panels and i'll be interested too.

The cost for a full carbon E30 is my college tuition.
