Looks dope man. Deffinately good for a first attemp and way better than I could probably ever do. Have you checked to see how much of a gap there is after shrinkage?

there is little to no shrinkage actually, i used a better than average resin on it.The stock dust gasket fits great on it. I have yet to put tabs on it to mount it to the car.

I'm thinking of ways to mount it well so i can ditch all the retracting mechanism but it would be VERY easy to make 6 small tabs to mount it in the stock location and have it be functional. (no idea what to do with that headliner though :?

I wouldn't care if it was functional or not, I NEVER used mine.

As long as it fits right and looks nice, I would seriously buy one.

I'm very anxious to see how this turns out.

I'd buy one.... if I had a sunroof. Simply looks awesome. I wish I could have that kind of skill!

I'm in Minnesota just outside the cities. and yeah i am gonna get some guys to help me..... just not tonight. This one is for sale and i'll have another done by the end of the week. (also for sale) I feel bad selling them cause i'm really proud of the first one..... but i'm a poor college kid.

Sooner rather than later i'll put an add up in the for sale and WTB section..... for now lets make this thread not about selling them.

To keep the convo going..... How would people want them mounted do you think. Not that its hard, but i havent thought of a way to make it a plug (rather than being functional)

To make them functional, its easy to epoxy some tabs to it to bolt to the stock mounting points. to make a plug..... i'm not sure how i'd want to do it.

Ill buy one if its TOTALLY functional. I use my sunroof all the time. I dont think epoxy would be the best way to attach the rails though.

i dont know how much i'd sell them for. I'm trying to figure out a good price. To put it in perspective... materials alone costabout 160$. I probably have 60hrs of my time in the mold. then i probably have 5-6 hrs of real work making a part. Granted it takes more time than that but thats just the curing time of the resin.

So that sounds like we are looking around $300. CF hoods are only $400... think of that in terms of size against a sunroof.
