Need some help with my blower motor..

Ok. Well I thought my blower motor went out. (of course I check fuses first) So I put another one in. Fuses are good, and I know for a fact that the new motor works. Funny thing is. When I pulled the old one and tested it, It worked. This is really god damn irritating. I cant seem to figure out why its not working..:letitout::curse: Can some one help?

Ok I think ive narrowed it down to the "recirculation flap motor relay".

Can you tell us more what the issue is? Is the blower fan not coming on at all? did it ever work?

What have you done so far other than trying another fan?

Yeh the fan used to work. But when it went out, I checked the fuses. None blown. I sort of checked the wires at the fan switch, didnt notice anything wrong. Thats when I figured the blower motor was bad, well that turned out to be fine too. I thought I traced it down to the "recirculation flap motor relay". But that didnt do anything either. :( Infact when I removed and went to the parts store so that I could get the right part, I got out fo the car and it was still running.. ??? WTF Well I put the old relay back in and everythign was fine. But my heater still doesnt work..

It is very difficult (sometimes) to get the e30 motor properly installed. If it is not in the exact right location, the motor blades get stuck on the cover and the fan won't turn. Will the fan turn if the cover is not installed? You can reach in from the side with the cover on and try to turn the blades. If the blades don't move freely, they're stuck on something. If they're stuck, reposition the motor and try again.

wiggle the 30a fuse and see if it turns on.

Thats the thing though, the blower motor was working fine before, but now it doesnt want to work at all. Even before I pulled it out, it wasn't turning on. Oh and I know exactly what you're talking about with the position of the motor, was kind of a pain in the ass.

Ill try that 30a fuse idea.

Ok tried wiggling the fuse, nothing.. :( Anybody got any ideas? Maybe the switch itself is bad?

First things first. Voltage at the blower?

Also, who told you it might be that relay? It has nothing to do with the blower.

I can check for voltage at the blower tomorow. And no one told me about that relay having anythign to do with the blower motor. I was reading up in my bentley, i must have read wrong.

Do your power windows work? If your power windows and heater blower both are not working you need to check all the connections on the starter.

One of my power windows doesnt work. The front pass works sometimes because of a shitty switch. But ill check that out. Anything helps.

No power at the blower motor and connections to the starter were fine. :(
