Metal flakes in fuel tanks. Ok I have been thru 18 months of Aviation school and not in one aspect was this mentioned. My $0.02 is snake oil...

even IF the effect were real, those tiny magnets are way too fucking weak to have any effect on "magnatizing the air".
hey, why don't you get some of that magical oil additive too, then drain all your oil out and see how long your engine lasts..Comment

Better yet, an oil bypass kit.Originally posted by trenthmmmmm....
In the domestic V8 scene people have been putting magnets around FUEL lines for YEARS -- not air intakes.
I think you are the kinda guy that would buy Cross Drilled Brake Lines

That was what I thot, Like i posted before I got the magnets lying around collecting dust, so the curious me just got some foil tapes to put the magnets there to see whether it makes any difference... FYI, these were industrial magnets taken from the magnet producing plant. so it's not the normal strenght magnets.Originally posted by RobI vote for the placebo effect, but i've been suprised before...
I wasn't expecting anything from those magnets but it did give some effects. if's FOC magnets so what the heck...
BTW, I got someone to drive the car without telling him what I did. he felt the pull. unless I got subconscious telepathic power which told him about it....
Anyway, if you dont believe it. just spare 15 mins of your time to test it. no harm doing that... But do secure the magnets properly to prevent them from getting into the belting systems.
And there are magnets on the fuel lines as well which I put 2 months back but didn't feel much improvement compared to this. maybe it needs to work in tandem.
anyway, just wanna share this little discovery. no more sharing if there's no appreciation. didn't expect hostile flaming from you guys.... sigh...BMWClub Malaysia

I think Rob should do it. He's brutally honest about shit like that. :)

Go put it on the dyno and then we'll see what happens. If it were that easy to make a car run better then by now the manufacturers would have high-powered electro-magnets on the intake systems, it's not like it would cost much.
Hell my Grandpa had magnets on his fuel lines in his Model A. You need to shop here so you can get some more magical engine improvers.

Wow, this guy just cracks me up. Fabian, you have the worse case of placebo effect that I have ever seen.
Go buy a Tornado air filter and an electric supercharger, I guarentee your car will be as fast as an E46 M3 then.Comment

I wonder if it will work through my plastic MAF? :drink:Originally posted by M-technik-3Who want to be the Guinea pig here? Step right up and try the amazing....Im now E30less.

If I'm a manufacturer and even I can prove that it can actually improve the power i will not be producing it cost it's so easy to copy.!!! no one will buy something that cost USD20 when I can DIY if for free. It doesn't make sense to produce something for others to copy. and not that it's rocket science. Think about that.Originally posted by brodeeGo put it on the dyno and then we'll see what happens. Anyway, something all the theories in the world may not prove how some stuff actually work. u need to actually do it to prove or disprove it.BMWClub Malaysia

btw, the magnets actually DO NOT stick onto the stainless steel, so the steel wasn't magnetised, it's just the magnetic field doing the work. So it doesn't matter whether the air ram is steel, cast iron, aluminum alloy or plastic.Originally posted by Ryan StewartI wonder if it will work through my plastic MAF? :drink:Originally posted by M-technik-3Who want to be the Guinea pig here? EDITED:
Please do not place the magnets close to any electronic device. it might screw it up depending what's in it..BMWClub Malaysia
