Sunroof Leak after new seal replacement & adjustment (not drain holes)

Hi Guys,

Mundane problem here but it's driving me nuts. I bought an OEM seal to replace the original one and I adjusted the sunroof per Bentley with two 4mm allens in the guide holes. Adjusted to 1 mill high in the back and 1 mill low in the front. Also blew out all four drain holes with compressed air and tested all 4 for drainage .

I am still hearing air with the sunroof shut, I am also leaking water like crazy out of the rear portion of the sunroof where there are no drain rails. What am I doing wrong?

The stop position of the sunroof when closed needs to be something like the dwell above TDC on a piston so it's actually held shut. Basically, to rule that out just push up on the sunroof/interior cover (gently) and see if that helps. Otherwise the seal may just not quite have conformed, although mine was a very tight fit on the first close after a new seal.

It's an electric sunroof. I can see light through the crack between the seal and the body. I've completely removed the vanity cover to troubleshoot this. Will give it another college try.

You shouldn't be seeing daylight. Keep in mind there are 2 OE versions of the seal..a 1 piece and a 2 piece. It's been a while but IIRC w the1 piece the joint should be at the rear center of the roof panel and w the 2 piece the joints should be centered on each side over the cross rail.
