How about the mods keeping us up to date we want to get it up and running and in use.
    Dave.
Magnus posted a little bit ago asking everyone if they would rather use the temp forums or keep the main forums up while he fixed issues. Most votes wanted to keep the main forum up, so it's up for viewing while he fixes issues. Pretty sure he only has time on weekends to work on it.

Thanks for the update....I wasn't sure it was safe to use....the link shows "hacked by...." and that bothered me logging on!

        Hi,
Thanks for the up dates, I did see the thread main or temp forums but there is no notice saying new posts and topics closed for repairs just was not sure what was happening.
Hopefully all will work out well soon.
        Dave.

Why doesn't he sell the forum to someone who can actually take care of it?

You know things are bad when the BACK UP forum goes down and a moderator can't even log in.

I can log in to the back up forum. It's up and running. No issues here.

I tried to run a vBulletin forum on a shared hosting service once. It was a nightmare. You need console access to clear errors, and keep the data base clean. Not easy to do.

Criv makes running r3v look easy.....but he manages site 100x bigger than this one for his day job. So....yea. He just updates routers and hard drives in his sleep....go figure.

I agree! The site has had problems for way too long.

no doubt. The revamped s14.net was terrible even when it was working. Very frustrating and drawn out failure so far.
