    E36 5lug and BBS RS

    I did a E36 5 lug swap, E36 M3 front arms/knuckles/struts/TreeHouseCAB and rear is Z3 I6 hubs and rotors.

I was planning on running Style 5s 17"s RC090s but realized too late the fitment is too wide (low of an offset ET20). I have a mix of RS 16" pieces and was going to try and make up a set and find some lips/barrels. I have the 16" 5x120 faces but was hoping I can get somebody with fitment experience with the swap I have. I know I need about an ET30-40.

Was thinking 7.5" barrels and 1" lips in the rear to give me 9"s and 6.5 barrels/1" lips in the front.

Any wider of lip and it will lower my offset too much.

Barrels and lips are expensive so I hope I can make this work, any feedback?

make sure that the wheels will be compatible with the front brake choice you make too.

I have test fit the RS faces already (RS211) and they clear the brakes no problem. I have 6 and 6.5" barrels coming in the mail I picked up on Vortex, and I will run a 1" lip in the front and 2" lip in the rear.

My calculations say the rear will be 16"x9" and an ET24 hopefully that will fit a 225/45 without much fender rubbing after I roll it. If it does, when I test fit, I will go with a 1.5" lip making it 8.5" ET30

Fronts will be a 6" barrel and 1" lip, giving me a 7.5" wide ET30 so I am sure that will be fine.

I have 17" x8 and x9 (RS262/ RS263) et 35. With running 215/40/17 up front I use an 18mm spacer to get flush fitment, or when using 235/40/17 a 12mm spacer up front. Rear I have about 2-3mm clearance but my fenders are rolled.

I also have D-Force 17x8.5s et40 with 235/40/17 all around and I still use a 12mm spacer up front. Rear has plenty of clearance, front not so much mainly due to about max tire diameter that will fit in the front of an E30.

I was able to fit style 5s on my 5 lug.

I ran 215/40s but after rolling I easily could have done 235/40. That's without hellaflush stanced camber.

I am refinishing my style 5´s and I plan on running my 235/40 star specs in the rear. Ill let you all know how it goes soon.

^I wouldn't run 235 Star specs on an 8" rim (unless you happen to have 9" Style 5's) Though it would be fine for DD use, just quite compromised for AutoX/Track use.
