Just ordered Pn:33416760056 from dealer.
What will I do with it?
It goes partialy inside of Pn:33416762317 which has dimensions 42X75X37mm.
The part costs 57€ which is less than half of the price E30 M3 piece.
*****************************************EDIT***** ************************************
I got this far at 2.18.2009
And to the topic summary:
-The e87/e90 hub will work with e30 trailingarms.
-NOT bolt on, hub must be machined down few mm's "under" the cv-joint nut and you must use spacer between the hub and bearing.
-The swap will make splines between cv-joint and hub weaker, since the splines touch on each other on smaller area than original. Not a big difference, but might make difference in HiPo application.
-The spacer is 5,5mm thick and the other end must be radiused same way as the original bearing inner race is.
-The hub is machined down beacuse the cv-jonit stub would otherwise be too short and the nut wouldn't go deep enough.
-This setup would give you exactly same offset as original e30 4-lug hub.
-E30 e-brake still fits behind the hub.
-The spacer can't be between the rotor and hub without even more complex machining, since the rotor is hubcentric and the hub has fatter portition for disc centering.
- The 300mm.de rear kit will be bolt on with this setup, the 300mm.de kit is just e46 328i rotors, calipers, and caliper adaptors(and centering rings that are not needed in this setup).
-If you have any machining abilities or you know a machinist(spelling? a person who works with e.g. a lathe) this options is cheaper than e30 m3 swap and z3 swap and with some patience with parts it can be cheaper than 318ti swap.
-E30 original ABS can be remained.
I will use this setup, if you wish to do this, think twice. I'm not claiming this to be ideal for anyone.
