The non-coated ones (like the ones currently on my car from the PO) I would definitely not trust to last 20+ years like the OEM rubber ones.

So maybe if you were more specific you wouldn't be wrong. The coating is the issue you are concerned about not the fact that the lines are SS.

When I ordered the SS from UUC the fronts were very long. They were the wrong ones, call them up and they will send you new ones.

Beware...I almost got caught with this as well, their web catalog is a bit off.

If you are on the E30 rotor pages and at the bottom there is a related products section that shows a brake line kit...they have the E36 one there and not the e30 one...

They also show
3-series 1987-1992 E30 - 325, 318 - 6 line kit
M3 E30 1987-1991 - 4 line kit

Both goto the same page with the deescription of:

No, there is that black rubber grommet on the e36 line which is not on the e30 line.
