Rotors and Pads ordered-ATE/Brembo and Axxis Ultimates

What is a good setup? I am needing brakes now. I am ready to buy, but want something that stops very well, with not a lot of dust produced. Just street/perf. No auto-xing.
    Recommendations please.

For the most cost-effective stopping power, just get some replacement OEM rotors made by Balo (BMA probably carries them). If you want to take it up a notch, ATE PowerDiscs do a very good job as well. These have the eliptical groove machined into them.....so its like running a slotted rotor of sorts.

As for low dust pads, not sure. I have run the ATE PowerDiscs with PBR/MetalMaster pads and this combo works well for aggressive driving and the occasional day at the track....although it can throw considerable dust so frequent wheel cleaning would be required if you have nice looking wheels you like to show off. These pads also tend to squeel some when cold but get quieter once warmed up.

I'm sure others can chime in with their experience with various rotor/pad combos.

Usually great stopping power, low dust, and low noise dont go together. Generally you are able to get 2 out of the 3.

Sorry, I havent done performance oriented brake work so I cannot recommend a setup. I have however heard good things about EBC Green Stuff pads.

i like my PBR Ceramic pads, and they're fairly cheap 130cdn for all 4 wheels.

Well I finally came to a decision on the rotors anyway. I jsut ordered the ATE pwrdisc fronts and the Brembo rear discs from BMA. Total was 133 shipped.

Now I have to decide what pads and where to buy. Also where to buy the fluid. Any ideas on those two topics?

              I finally just committed.
              Front: ATE Power discs/Axxis ultimates
              Rear: Brembo/Axxis ultimates

I will give my opinions on this setup after a few thousand miles. Thanks for the help guys.

Fill me in on the review guy.

And take a pic of how they dust Type C's ;)

Just for searching reference, I am currently running OE Brembo rotors with Mintex Red Box pads all around and there is little to no dust, I love them. Nice performance, almost up to par for a lot of auto-x usage, but not quite. Won't cut it for DE's, but they are good street pads.

This is the exact set up Im running. Brembo solids in the rear, ATE slotted up front and axis ultimates all around. I personaly love the set up. Car has much better stopping power but they do dust quite a bit. They are supposed to be pretty good as far as the dusting goes for a performance pad. I have a feeling you'll like em. Just make sure to wax your wheels every once in a while and you'll be golden.

I hate brake dust with a passion. However, with the Borbet Cs, it shouldn't be too difficult to keep them clean. MUCH easier than with the Ronals.
