Acura Big Brakes on the E30!!!

Just got done putting on a set of 94-00 acura integra calipers and 11" AEM Slotted Rotors.
    Why?
Bigger Aluminum calipers, bigger piston, weigh half of the origonals, and cheaper and bigger pads.

    Now to pics.

First had to grind just a little to fit the hub.

    test fit of the rotor.

Acura Caliper with the brackets that came with rotors.

Had to weld on some more aluminum to reach the hub.

Drilled and tapped the brackets to bolt on!

All together with Caliper and Rotor. Oh and the Bmw brake line threads right into the Acura caliper.

Wheel on and they fit perfect. Oh i had to grind on the knuckler of the Steering arm about an 1/8 of and inch to clear rotor, nothing major.

All together on this i spent..........30 bucks for the calipers at the junk yard! I had the rotors and brackets laying around that a friend gave me.
They work amazing. Firm but not too firm pedal, and not touchy, if you want more brake, you just push on the pedal more without it suddenly locking up. Love them.

See if you can bolt on the caliper from an Accord with ABS. It might bolt right up, and uses a huge pad.

on such a light car, don't you run the risk of the wheels locking up under braking? Without the abs that is.

i hope there were more steps than that, like measuring, and i hope the drilling took place on an end mill.

if no to both of those, R3v thread coming soon

Pad's look like they are hardly covering half the rotor. Lets see more of the Ls swap.

if i was doin an LS swap i dont think id cheap out with a junkyard BBK, pretty sure id go with a massive kit.

are the piston bores matched well with the master cylinder?

just wanna make sure you did your calculations

Because it's not similar, it's a cheap alternative. You get what you pay for.
