          I had solid aluminum engine mounts on a FWD car. The original mounts were failing far too frequently so I figured the Aluminum mounts would be the solution. Well, it never broke but the car sure was annoying to drive after that. The B-pillar resonated and buzzed past 5000 rpm and you could feel vibrations everywhere. I will never do that again.

              just read something about having the suspension preloaded when you torque down the control arm bolts and what not, is this true?
              if so that might be my mistake...

                a bad control arm one clunk when turning over a bump. a loose shock clunk when you goes over bump no matter if your turning or not.

                  when you pressed in the bushings you lined up the marks on the lollipop and bushing right? how long did you wait after you attached the lollipop and let the car rest on the ground? if you wait too long the bushing will not set properly and might be your problem. unlikely but you never know.
