Every time I go auto-x, the tech guy tells me that I should probably change my front left wheel bearings. According to him the passenger side one is fine. I'm just going to buy a new hub instead of dealing with pulling the bearing and what not. Do I have to do both at the same time, or can I just do the one that needs replacing? How long of a job is this for one side?

shouldn't be a problem, but that right side probably isn't far behind. if you are paying for the work to be done I'd just have them do both if you can. -
Re: Changing Front Hubs
As if you have a choice. That's how they come as one unit, hub, bearing and ABS toothed gear.I'm just going to buy a new hub instead of dealing with pulling the bearing and what not.
Just do the one that needs it. It's not the type of job where doing 2 saves you any time or money.Do I have to do both at the same time, or can I just do the one that needs replacing?
I'd say, if you've never done it before and it goes smoothly, about 2 hrs form start to finish. You could do it in an hour if you're fast. How long of a job is this for one side?
Get a new dust sheild, grease cap and hub nut. The nut is 36mm. A regular 36mm socket will fit, you may have trouble with the thickness of a deep socket and it's not needed.
