I installed some axxis ultiamtes pads, new rotors, stainless steel lines, and a 25mm MC i cant activate abs, or at least cant feel it. the pads are fairly new and after a few lighter stops i tried a couple hard ones

did you remember to reattach yoru ABS sensors? I dont know what would happen if you left them out, maybe the abs light coming on, or abs actually coming on, but you could have blwon the fusable link in the relay too i guess? just a coincidence.

i should have jsut said i couldnt lock the wheels up. What i meant was the car doesnt seem to brake hard enough to be able to activate it. Unless it doenst feel like its pumping the pedal like in other cars, which i really doubtComment

yeah, the pedal is quite stiff, although i think i bled the left front instead of the right first
i dont ever remember locking up a wheel before these up grades, but i never really had to stop that fast. the tires are 3 toyo fz-4's with one spare btwLast edited by nickmp0wer; 09-27-2005, 09:57 PM.Comment

jk.... well... maybe that would help, but
does the anti-lock indicator lamp work? it should turn on while the system checks itself on startup.... if no lamp, them the bulb is out, and the ABS may not work.... otherwise it should work properly. let the new pads break in.
as long as you get all the air out of the system it doesn't matter what wheel you start at... i always go around the car at least twice to make sureComment

i just thought, did you remember to put the cap back on your brake fluid resivoir? Sometimes we overlook the simple stuff....

thats basiclly how we did it except my dad would just press the pedal once. and there was nice new blue fluid comming through. do the brake boosters ever fail or weaken?Comment

i dont see why pumping it would be nessary. I would open the bleeder then he would press down the pedal then i would close it and he would let offComment
