    Early 318i brake swap question...

Not your typical question, more like the opposite of what you would expect.

If I swap large diameter 325i strut housings on to an 85 318i can I retain the calipers, brackets, and rotors from the original 318i small diameter strut housings? Just want to confirm it will interchange.

Please don't ask why, I just need an answer!

    yes.

edit: and you don't even need to retain the 318 wheel bearing or anything. just swap the brake rotor and go

Excellent, thanks. I've owned many E30s but never an early 318!

Change the master to or you will experience some craptastic braking performance. Early 318's used a tiny master bore.

Why would my braking performance change? I am using the same calipers, pads, and rotors.
