Hi,
I currently own a 1991 E30 318i with ATE front and rear calipers with the larger front 260 x 22mm vented from disc rotors.
I will be upgrading the engine soon (300kg!) and was thinking about doing the brakes while I was at it to the Massive 4 piston Wilwood caliper on the larger 280mm disc rotor.
I have no intention in doing any track work with this car but just a bit unsure on how the standard brakes will perform with the extra weight up the front. I am not fussed about filling in wheel gaps either as I will be running either a 15 or 16' wheel.
I am more inclined to rebuild the standard calipers, upgrade to braided lines, better pads and a pair of DBA slotted rotors up the front (already bought rear ones).
What would you suggest?
