    Puddle of Brake fluid

I had a leak of brake fluid in my master cylinder and had that replaced saturday but I was still losing fluid over the weekened, nursing it back with more fluid till i could take it to the shop on monday. however I topped it off on monday afternoon and then went to get inside and found a puddle of brake fluid under my pedals. Needless to say I was pissed. Any ideas on what It could be?

Did you replace the slave cylinder with the master?

I didnt do the repair but I would assume thats a no because I purchased the MC from BMa and took it to them. Should I point out the slave cylinder to them as well?

The slave is inside the cabin, and that would probably be the source of your leak. That would be espically true if the master cylinder was on the way out to begin with. They like to die in pairs.

thanks man to be losing fluid and putting it in and having it at the shop while i waited on the MC, having it replaced then finding a giant puddle in the floor i was pretty pissed. Ill get them to look at it and if so Ill have that coming from bma.

Could ya find the part number so I can go ahead and look up the part? Its a girling if that matters

It's your clutch master cylinder that is dead. The brake master cylinder is mounted on the firewall in the engine bay. The clutch master cylinder is mounted on the pedal box in the interior. The clutch slave cylinder is on the tranny.

And the brake slave cylinders are your calipers.
