      Sorry to bump an old thread.

      I'm looking to order the same setup as the OP. Will it work on my '86?

      Also, what is a "Girling" brake system? And how can I tell if my '86 325e has it? It seems to make a difference for caliper rebuild kits.

        Yes this will work for your '86 325es.

        Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe there are two diffeent brand/type of calipers that came on e30's. One is Girling and one is ATE iirc. You should be able to just take a look at the caliper and see which ones they are. Check both front and rear to see what each ones says, as mine were different.
