they look like the standard brembo available on evo 6-9 and wrk v7 onwards. and i think even the e38 7 series has the same ones. i thought about doing this using them.

        Nope. Bigger. And lighter.
        Not Brembo.
        Not steel.
And I posted what they were. never mind what they "look" like

            I stand corrected ;)

Can you get 2 reman e38 calipers for 265 bucks? If you have question about this swap feel free to ask.

So I assume that 17" rims are necessary to fit these?

How is the caliper clearance for spoked wheels?? (How far does the caliper stick out past the hub the wheel sits on?)

I am running Team Dynamics 17x9 et23 and there is a ton of room, I will have to measure to give an exact "protrusion" number.

                    I'll check tonight.

Awesome setup! I'd keep a spare set of rotors on hand just in case though. Not really something you'll find locally.

no but they are readily avaliable overseas. Only took 2 weeks to come from U.K

US spec e38 740iL calipers are single piston, e38 750iL calipers are only 2 piston, and neither look anything like the OP's mitsubishi calipers. ;)

Edit- It seems even the lowly 728i came with 4 piston calipers in euro markets. The 4 pot e38 calipers may be easy to find in your junkyards in auckland but chances of finding them here in the states are about slim and none. :/

OP-nice setup, looks pretty well sorted.
