    broken rear brake line mounts?????

i was under my 91 325i last night changing the trans fluid to synth. atf, and i was checking everything trying to find the reason for the "clunk" that alot of people seem to have , but are not sure what it is, and i noticed that the brake line mounts are broken on both a-arms and were zip tied to the arms by the previous owner. anyone seen this problem before, is this a common breakage....?
    thanks,
    greg

Do you mean those thin metal tabs that are where the hard lines meet the soft lines? I don't think those are too important.

yea the tabs are broken. they don't seem that important either, but what a weird thing to break! and on both arms...wtf could cause that??

could be, the car came with bilsteins and poly a-arm bushings from the previous owner. maybe he tried to do it with the arms hanging from the brake lines.....dumb ass if he did!!
