Front grind, moan, dragging noise last second of braking.

My driver side makes a grinding, dragging, moaning sound on the last second of braking and It rarely happens.
    What can it be?

Worn out brake pads would usually make this type of noise.

Yeah, do you have your sensors connected? If not, I would pop the wheels off and check the pad thickness. Another thought could be a sticky piston in the caliper, but the noise sounds a bit loud to be that.

Brakes are still good. I might have put the sensor on wrong but how would that cause a problem.
I rotated the rotor with the wheel off and the rotor has an uneven spot and doesnt spin freely, but I still don't understand how it would cause this deep, dragging sound

Problem still not solved. Pads are good. Only visual problem is the spring looking rubber on the caliper is ripped, but how would that cause a problem?

6 months is a long time to live with a brake problem and not be wrapped around a pole :-)

The uneven spot could be a sign of a warped rotor and the rubber is a dust boot intended to protect your piston from being damaged. If it torn it will quickly result in a sticking caliper, reduced brake function and then a dysfunctional caliper.

              Guide pins could be sticking.

Oh, and there will be a little bit of friction when you spin the wheel. The caliper moves away from the rotor when you let off the pedal, but not enough to clear completely, hence a slight mount of drag. Should still be able to turn the rotor pretty easily though. If not, the piston might be sticking.

I think you're right Nitro. I will be sure to replace them soon because I do have some wheel wheel friction. Thanks guys.

I cleaned the guide pins and the noise hasn't come back.. yet. Will replace soon.
