    Are these brakes a good buy??

    I found this kit on ebay and well with all the stuff sold on ebay that's junk I was wondering if this kit would actually be good and fit my 87"cabrio http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...ayphotohosting
    Any help will really be appreciated, please before I am tempted to do my paypal order and regret it for the rest of my life:D ,thanks.

    I wouldn't touch xdrilled zimmerman rotors with a 10 foot pole.

      cross drilled/slotted is a marketing gimmick/for looks really. It does nothing to dissipate anything better, and really just causes your rotors to warp and crack prematurely. Just buy vented (not slotted) Brembo blanks.

        I have bought directly from that seller (not the auction stuff). Contact them and ask them for a price for that "set" with blank brembos.

          Funny that new Porsches, among others, come from the factory w/ cross-drilled rotors...

              here to pass on what I read on the internet and will pass off as fact:

              cross drilled: only forged, not drilled
              ate power discs, oem, or brembo are your best bet, if you're tracking it invest in ducting

                Oh ok so I should just get some brembo slotted or blanks,ok sounds good oh and what type of brakes do not rust I've seen those around but, I have no clue what there called , oh and where should I buy them to get good quality and a decent price?

                  rotors that are cadmium plated resist corrosion. Seems like a waste of money to me, your pads should keep them shiny and eat and surface rust.

                    Its the rotor hats that you don't want rusting, it looks ugly. I just painted mine.
